One Year Later!

Today is our Anniversary and this weekend we spent Saturday Night at the Guest Lodge at Crooked Creek Ranch YL Camp. This was of course all thanks to katie's senior year roommate Susan who is interning as the Guest Services Coordinator for the camp this summer. It was awesome to be back at a YL camp with Katie and to be staying up late with my College buddy, Mark who was also at the Camp as a leader with his group from Charleston. I hadn't seen Mark since the wedding.

One of the best things about the trip was the fact that Ryan Long was leading the worship at the camp and was playing as we walked into the club room last night. Ryan led the music at a Windy Gap YL weekend in North Carolina 4 years ago that both Katie and I went to. I really liked his music but the reason it made me so nostalgic was because that was the weekend that I kissed Katie for the first time (on the back of the head that is.). I will never forget sitting by the pool trying to convince her that she shouldn't go to school in California and that she should go to UNC. I didn't even really know her at the time I just thought she was cute and wanted her to go to school near Duke.

Getting Ready for Baby!

Over the past few months we have been accumulating all the necessities for William. Thanks to our generous families we are pretty much set and ready for our little one's arrival. I thought I'd give you an overview of what our little condo looks like all babyfied.

Here is my wonderful new diaper bag. I had ordered a pretty expensive one online and when it came I was very diappointed in the quality and functionality. So, we got this one from Lands' End for only 30 dollars! It's called the "Do It All Diaper Bag."

This view shows you the great mouth of the bag. I opens like a doctor's bag, making it easy to find whatever your looking for at the moment. I am just thrilled with the durability and the pretty colors!

William's clothes have filled up half of our closet but that doesn't matter to us, we just like looking at them and imagining him wearing them. The thing on the right is a shoe holder but his onesies and other things fit quite nicely for now.

Here's a close up view of his cute outfits. He has lots of sleepers and plenty of clothes to last him through the 0-3 month phase! Hopefully he won't out grow them too fast!

His little car seat is perfect and has a stroller that it fits into. There's a canopy that you can pull over his head if it's raining or most likely for us snowing!

This bassinet came with our pack & play and it can attach into the playyard if I want to have his bassinet downstairs when we are at the Flygs. Here it is snapped onto the rocker/stand which we'll keep in our room. As you can see it is full of his stuffed animals and many blankets.

Here's the pack & play, it's really great. It not only came with the bassinet but also the little changing station that can be removed.

Our bags are packed and ready, 6 more weeks to go, if not sooner!

Colorado Baby Shower

On Saturday July 22, my sweet friends Jillian, Leslianne, and Barbara gave me a baby shower for William. It was from 10 to 12 so they made lots of yummy brunch food, Monkey Bread and a delicious breakfast casserole were included (my favorites!) There were about 14 ladies and little girls there, just the right size. Pete and I recieved wonderful gifts for Baby Will, now all we need is him!!! Only 7 weeks to go!

My Mom gave William his first copy of "The Wizard of Oz" she wrote the sweetest note on the inside cover and I started to cry! As a little girl I LOVED the Wizard of Oz, for those of you who didn't know about my obsession!

Pete's Mom gave William lots of fun educational toys that will enhance speach and language. Here's a silly ball that makes all kinds of movements and noises. Sorry for the blurred quality!

This is my friend Sara with her new baby daughter Susan who is about 5 weeks old. She is so cute and so content. Sara and Rick her husband have a 4 year old little boy too named David who was in my class last year, he's really cute too!

And the whole crowd, friends from our church and school. It was perfect, thanks girls for doing this for me! I love y'all!!!

From Above

Today I went to Kremling and took some photos of this 28,000 sq. ft. house for Tony. They gave me a hard hat and hoisted me up in this fork-lift basket. The place had a bowling alley in the basement!
